Throughout my four years of high school I had to sadly stand by and watch some of the best teachers I know leave because of various reasons. School districts should be going out of their way to provide students with the best of the best, and all I felt was ignored. I can’t explain the frustration that an acquaintance, a teacher in Douglas county schools, has had to go through dealing with the system. She lost the position she was more than qualified for, replaced by a less experienced teacher, and forced to find a job elsewhere in the district. As a result she is now teaching subjects she is not as qualified for.
