As a Douglas Count resident, I wholeheartedly agree with the Colorado Supreme Court decision regarding their voucher program. Our state constitution is very clear about our taxes supporting sectarian schools.
Parents always have a right to choose where their children are educated, and if they choose private or religious schools, they must pay for their choice. My tax dollars support public education open to all. It is a strong U.S. public education system that has made our country great.
Douglas County schools are very good. This voucher issue was a solution looking for a problem.
Funny how “choice ” is important in the various voucher programs nationwide but not important when a woman wants to make her own “choices” about her reproductive options.
